Playa de Cabo de Gata

Sandy and mostly empty beach, which stretches for several kilometres is an ideal place for peace and quiet. The sea is fairly open here so expect some choppy waves. After a storm the waves are big enough for a short surf. There are a couple of bar/restaurants but little else in the way of entertainment. Looking at a map you will be mistaken to think that you can drive along the coast further into the natural park. This road is closed to the public.
