Golf Courses

Almeria currently has 10 golf courses. From Aguilon Golf near San Juan de los Tererros a newly opened in 2008 and situated in the Sierra Aguilon over looking the coastline. There is a second course under development closer to the town of San Juan opening sometime in 2009. Working our way south the next course is Desert Springs near Cuevas del Almanzora, an established desert style competition course. Close to the town of Vera is Valle de Este golf & spa resort a good course to play for all levels.
Getting closer to Mojacar we have the Marina Golf course situated close to the beach between Mojacar & Garrucha a fairly established course with great views. Moving inland we have Almeria´s oldest course of Cortijo Grande a 9 hole course situated a the foot of the Sierra Cabrera. Another new course is Playa Macenas just along the coast from Mojacar. Closer to Almeria and near the Cabo de Gata there is the Alboran Golf opened a couple of years ago a challenging course for all players. Moving inland again we have La Envia Golf in the municipality of Vicar built in 1993 a 18 hole par 70 course. Closer to the sea in the same area you will find Serena Golf in the resort town of Roquetas de Mar an 18 hole par 72 course built in 1973. Travele a little further along the coast and you will find Almerimar Golf Course which has an 18 & 9 hole courses and was opened in 1976 a very flat open course. Golf courses in Almeria, Spain.
