About Our Riding Services:Cueva del Lobo Riding Center, established in the area for almost twenty years, providing an enjoyable service to both residents and tourists alike.The Center is run by Didi Arias, certified to the highest level of riding instruction (Level III), by the American Riding Instructor Association.She has been recipient of numerous teaching awards, including being admitted to the American Riding Instructor Association´s Circle of Honor, and has twice been the recipient of their International Instructor of the Year award.In addition, she is a certified national dressage judge by the Real Federación Hipica Española, and is a regular contributor to two internacional horse magazines.The Center is fully approved and licensed by the Junta de Andalucia Department of Agriculture. The Center is professionally run, and the animals are well cared for.The staff is friendly and multi-lingual.All clients are provided with approved safety helmets, which are obligatory to wear.We use quick release safety stirrups on our english style saddles. Clients are advised to wear comfortable, long trousers, socks, and a sturdy shoe or boot with a low heel.While we can provide some boots, we cannot guarantee your shoe/calf size.Countryside session riders are advised to wear long sleeves, even in hot weather, as the paths may pass through some bushy country. The Center is centrally located on Mojácar Beach between the Hotel and Pueblo Indalo, on the beach side of the road just at the Cueva del Lobo roundabout. Riding lessons should be fun, but also safe, and we keep this concept foremost in our classes.We work at the rider´s own pace, and cater towards the individual´s needs.Our classes are thorough and include clear theory and practical work. Learning to ride correctly takes time and effort. We don´t rush our students´ learning capabilities or overface them, which would leave gaps in their knowledge, and may lead to loss of confidence, and invite accidents.Emphasis is on correct and safe riding, and empathy for our horses. We offer classes to beginners as well as those with previous riding experience.Both children and adults are welcome, and one is hardly ever too old to enjoy horses! Very small children too young for lessons can be offered a lead rein rideforfive minutes round the arena. Countryside Riding:We also offer instructor-led countryside riding of half hour, one hour, or two hours´ duration.Prices per the group lesson rate.In general, the pace is walking, but a faster pace can be ridden at the guide´s decision if felt that all riders are competent at controlling their mounts at a faster pace.Remember, we are thinking of your safety.
