Within a short ride away of the complex are the towns of Villaricos with its picturesque marinas, Garrucha which offers a large sandy beach, numerous shops and restaurants and a thriving fishing port. Mojacar Playa is the main tourist resort, approx 10 mins drive away, bustling during the peak season and has an abundance of restaurants, bars, shops, sandy beaches and water sports. A short drive away en-route to San Juan de los Terreros are a number of rocky coves, often deserted during the summer months. San Juan itself offers a long stretch of gently sloping beach and numerous beach bars.

Other local tourist attractions within the area include a water park, karting, horse-riding and sports centre with tennis, padel and gymnasium. Golf courses include the famous Desert Springs, Valle del Este, Marina de la Torre and Playa Maceanas. The historic towns of Vera, Cuevas del Almanzora and Mojacar Pueblo are almost certainly worth exploring.
